
Kuantan Port Authority (LPKtn) and Kuantan Port Consortium Sdn Bhd (KPC) proudly hosted the Kuantan Port International Conference 2024 (K-Ice 2024) in celebration of Kuantan Port’s 50th anniversary. This prestigious event took place at the Sultan Ahmad Shah Convention Centre (SASICC) on Thursday, 15 August 2024.
With the theme “Sustainable Port Development: Catalyst in Global Connectivity towards Future Growth,” K-Ice 2024 was officially opened by the Chairman of LPKtn, YAM Tengku Panglima Besar Pahang, Tengku Tan Sri Azlan Ibni Sultan Abu Bakar, and attended by over 250 local and international delegates, including industry leaders and stakeholders.
K-Ice 2024 was divided into two sessions: Interactive Forum I, focusing on “Global Partnership and Trade Dynamics Towards Industry’s Sustainability,” and Interactive Forum II, discussing “Digitalisation and Technological Integration in Port Operations Towards Low-zero Carbon Fuel.”

A special address titled “Kuantan Port Bridging the Pacific Rim: Port of Choice” was delivered by LPKtn General Manager, Dato’ Khairul Anuar Abdul Rahman, before K-Ice 2024 concluded.
The Minister of Transport, YB Tuan Loke Siew Fook, launched LPKtn’s coffee table book titled Legacy by the Sea: 50 Years of Maritime Eminence and officiated the closing ceremony of K-Ice 2024.
Also present were YB Datuk Hj Hasbi Habibollah, Deputy Minister of Transport; YB Senator Fuziah Salleh, Deputy Minister of Domestic Trade and Cost of Living; YB Dato’ Ir. Razali Kassim, Pahang State Executive Council Member for Public Works, Transport, and Health; YBhg Tan Sri Krishnan Tan, Chairman of IJM Corporation Bhd; and Mr. Lee Chun Fai, Chairman of KPC.
